Level 1 for Seniors is designed for older adults who want to build a safe, strong, and steady yoga practice. This class focuses on foundational Iyengar poses, gentle sequencing, and the mindful use of props to support balance, flexibility, and alignment. Students are guided carefully through each posture, with attention to body mechanics, stability, and breathing.  Younger students are welcome to attend.

This class is not remedial — it is intended for seniors who are able to participate in standard beginner-level poses and want to develop a solid foundation to support ongoing practice. The emphasis is on steady progress, confidence in movement, and understanding the principles behind the poses, rather than speed or intensity.

By the end of the class, participants will have strengthened core skills, gained a clear understanding of essential poses, and built confidence to continue exploring Iyengar Yoga safely and effectively.
