Each day builds systematically to support strength, clarity, and integration, offering students, teachers, and trainees a focused week of consistent, in-depth practice in Asheville.

Kirtan is a form of devotional singing rooted in the spiritual traditions of India—a meditative, call-and-response practice that uses sound to open the heart and quiet the mind. Led by Aphieme, whose lifelong journey with soulful singing began in gospel churches and has since expanded to include over two decades of devotional song, this gathering invites you to explore your voice as a tool for self-study and connection.
No singing experience is needed. This is not a performance, but a shared practice. Whether you sing, hum, or simply listen, you are welcome. Printed song sheets will be provided, along with brief explanations of the chants’ meanings.
